r7quad.jpg

TaylorMade r7 quad

While the r7 425cc Quad driver still features the ultimate in ball flight customization with four weight ports and four removable weight cartridges, the larger size also promotes exceptional forgiveness for longer, straighter shots — even on off-center hits. A slightly closed clubface alignment is pleasing to the eyes, further increasing confidence and accuracy.

This ultra-playable design comes with a RE*AX shaft with Fujikura Biax technology. This Tour-quality graphite design reduces ovaling in the mid-section, allowing the tip to remain flexible to provide maximum stability, consistency and added clubhead speed. Wrench included.

  • A large 425 cc clubhead creates an exceptionally high MOI for forgiveness and long, straight results on off-center hits.
  • The RE*AX shaft featuring Fujikura Biax technology reduces ovaling in the mid-section and allows the tip to remain flexible for more stability and consistency and added clubhead speed.
  • Ultra-Thin Wall technology promotes extremely thin, yet strong clubhead walls. This allows over 40 grams of weight to be saved, which is then used to create TLC.
  • TLC technology with four ports and four movable cartridges allows you to change your launch conditions for longer, straighter drives.
  • Movable Weight Technology includes 28 grams: two 12-gram and two 2-gram cartridges offer a choice of six sets of launch conditions. This allows you to customize your launch condition for straighter and longer drives.
  • Widely spaced TLC ports allow broad CG movement toward the toe or heel. Machine testing indicates shot-shape movement of 11 to 13 yards.
  • Pull-Face construction permits a light, thin, strong clubface for a high COR that promotes fast ball speed for increased distance.
  • Inverted Cone Technology dramatically expands the portion of the clubface that delivers high COR for consistently longer drives.
  • Slightly closed clubface alignment is attractive, promoting increased confidence and accuracy.

r5dual.jpg

TaylorMade r5 dual

The r5 dual Type D is an ideal driver for players seeking to alleviate a slice and/or promote a distance-enhancing draw.

The new r5 dual features widely spaced, TaylorMade Launch control (TLC) cartridges that are pre-configured and permanent. This positions the weight ideally so you don't have to. With Launch Control promoting an extremely high moment of inertia (MOI) and proper clubhead rotation, the r5 dual Type N delivers remarkable forgiveness and a straight ball flight while the r5 dual Type D (stock no. TM7200) provides a draw. Meanwhile, the exceptionally large 450cc titanium clubhead not only looks substantial at address, but it also gives you solid contact, consistently straighter shots and of course, confidence. And with TaylorMade's revolutionary Inverted Cone Technology, the expanded COR of the r5 results in higher ball velocity on off-center hits for longer, more consistent drives.

  • Matches the r5 dual Type N as the most forgiving driver TaylorMade has ever engineered
  • Super-sized 450cc titanium clubhead and dual TLC cartridges boost MOI for remarkable forgiveness
  • Super-Thin Wall technology for 20% thinner clubhead walls, saving critical weight that makes the large-sized head possible
  • Head shape and TLC cartridges position the CG towards the heel to create a powerful draw bias
  • Permanent TLC cartridges are pre-configured by TaylorMade engineers to make it easy to launch high, long, straight tee shots for players who prefer not to change cartridge
  • Inverted Cone Technology delivers consistently longer drives

Callaway X460

The all-titanium driver redesigned from the ground up for better ball speed and deeper drives.

Callaway Golf engineers incorporated everything they know about all-titanium drivers into the new X460 Driver. At 460cc, this new driver combines a CT/VFT face, a consistent alignment sole and patented Callaway Golf technologies. This combination of technologies makes the X460 the longest all-titanium driver Callaway Golf has ever made. The unique sole design allows a larger, more stable clubhead and a larger face - more than 10% larger than the face of the Big Bertha 454 Driver.

X-Sole Design
With Callaway Golf's new X-Sole design, the clubhead rests on two distinct points of the sole, preventing any rocking back and forth for consistent alignment to your intended target.

Patented Callaway Golf Technologies - S2H2 and Tru-Bore
Short Straight Hollow Hosel (S2H2) allows Callaway Golf's engineers to take the useless weight found in the hosel and reposition it in the clubhead where you need it most, allowing you to hit the ball harder without swinging harder. Tru-Bore means the shaft is closer to the hitting area, providing better feel and clubhead control.

CT/VFT Face
The CT/VFT face creates ball speed up to the USGA limits of characteristic time. With a more robust face, the new X460 creates more consistent distance - even on off-center shots.

Ultra-High-Tech Manufacturing Process
The titanium face is robotically plasma-welded to the body, ensuring that the face thickness is controlled to a very tight tolerance for consistent performance.

Greater Clubhead Stability
The 460cc head size allows Callaway Golf engineers to move more weight to the perimeter of the clubhead to increase the Moment of Inertia, making it the most forgiving all-titanium driver ever from Callaway Golf.

Nike SaSquatch

A new geometry... and the only adjustment you need.

With its distinctive yellow sole and club head design, the SasQuatch 460 driver becomes the newest, and possibly most anticipated club in Nike Golf's metalwood family.

Nike Golf's club wizards have designed an ideal ratio between the width of the clubface and the depth of the club head. The SasQuatch geometry pushes the breadth-to-face length ratio up, resulting in a larger, more forgiving sweet spot.

Through basic geometry and Max Back Center of Gravity (CG) technology, Nike Golf has been able to achieve a lower, deeper CG without the use of weights. With its CG set back, low and deep, the SasQuatch is a highly engineered, streamlined instrument of size, power and forgiveness.

Distinct advantages can be can seen in this combination:

  • Forgiveness - increases the club head's Moment of Inertia (MOI) or resistance to twisting during off-center hits
  • Distance – A wider, taller sweet spot
  • Accuracy - moving the CG farther back makes the clubface easier to square for straighter drives.

Add it all up and you get a higher launch angle, low spin and longer distance.

Nike Golf's Powerbow technology provides the visual cue of the Max Back CG's radical geometry. Placed on the back of the driver, the Powerbow technology expands the perimeter of performance making it easier to get the ball up and hit it straight. The Powerbow adds a trailing volume of mass to apply more power and control to the ball without overstepping the USGA's 460cc legal limit. The radical design of the Powerbow makes the SasQuatch Driver look unlike any driver on the market because there simply is no driver like it on the market.

To get a hotter response and greater consistency, the SasQuatch has a face of layered yet tightly compressed titanium called NexTi, developed exclusively for Nike Golf. Available only in Nike Golf drivers, NexTi titanium face is thinner, stronger and lighter than conventional titanium.

Cleveland HiBore

Evolving through persimmon, steel, titanium and composite, the driver has not evolved beyond a three-century-old hand-shaped design. How much better could a golf club perform if form finally followed function? You are about to find out...

The unique HiBore geometry lowers and deepens the Center of Gravity (CG) as compared to traditional-shaped drivers. This optimized CG location aligns the Center of Gravity Projection (CGP) with the COR hotspot in the center of the face, resulting in maximum energy transfer with optimal launch conditions for greater overall distance. Furthermore, 25 grams of discretionary weight have been added to the tail end of the clubhead for maximum Moment of Inertia (MOI) and forgiveness. By aligning the CGP with the COR hotspot, the sweet spot has been increased by over 20%. Additionally, the sweet spot has been moved lower on the clubface, unleashing the full distance potential of a driver like none before it.

Out with the Old

On traditional drivers, center of gravity projection is significantly above the center of the face. Efficient launch conditions and maximum distance only occur near the top of the clubface and away from the COR hotspot. Maximum distance is inconsistent.

In with the New

With the new HiBore drivers, the center of gravity projection is precisely aligned with the center of the face and the COR hotspot for more efficient launch conditions and greater distance from a larger portion of the clubface than any other club on the market today.

Cleveland Launcher460TI

Golf Digest 2006 Hot List SelectionThe key to this driver's renewed success is the fact that 15% of its weight has been removed from the top crown and redistributed into lower and deeper locations around its perimeter.

The Launcher Ti460 driver maintains the original Launcher's extremely hot, plasma-welded SP700 beta titanium face, so you'll still benefit from a huge sweet spot and a high resistance to twisting for maximum forgiveness and distance, even on off-center hits.

Ping G5

Golf Digest 2006 Hot List SelectionThe new PING G5 driver, similar in shape and size to the popular 460cc G2, features a new internal weighting distribution that repositions the center of gravity (CG) for lower spin rates and greater distance.

Eight grams of weight have been moved from the crown and face to the sole to achieve the lower CG location. The lower spin rates allowed PING engineers to increase the available lofts (7.5°, 9°, 10.5°, 12° and 13.5°).

The confidence-inspiring head provides forgiveness and includes a thinner moon-graphic alignment aid.

460cc Head for Maximized Inertia
A large head size and improved weight placement give the G5 driver a great moment of inertia for more stability, forgiveness and control.

Web Crown Design
Material removed from low stress areas in the crown is repositioned in the sole to lower the CG for reduced ball spin and increased distance.

Improved Variable Face Geometry
Improved precision-machined variable thickness face yields increased performance and durability. Variable face geometry helps optimize the CG location by redistributing material from low stress areas of the face.

New Thinner Crescent Moon Graphic Alignment Aid
Positioned on the crown of the club to aid in alignment for more accurate drives.

Robotic Plasma Welds
Very accurate and consistent welds improve the consistency and durability of the face while saving weight, which can be redistributed throughout the clubhead.

Ping G2

With the new G2 Driver, PING engineers again have raised the bar in driver design. Longer, straighter and more forgiving than any PING driver to date, the G2 utilizes advanced design techniques and manufacturing processes to improve performance for golfers of all abilities.

The 460cc titanium head has a precision-milled variable thickness face. Robotically plasma-welded to the driver body, the face creates increased energy transfer that pushes the G2 driver right up to the allowable limit. Variable sole thickness creates a lower spin rate and a higher launch angle for optimal carry and roll.

The PING TFC 100D graphite shaft is designed with a proprietary dampening material that removes undesirable vibration for enhanced feel and performance in every flex. PING also offers the Aldila NV 65 shaft for golfers seeking different ball flight characteristics.

Cobra FSpeed

Cobra F/Speed Driver

The fastest way to hotter, straighter drives has arrived!

All 460cc drivers are not created equal. Cobra's technology takes golf's largest clubface, the Hotter 9 Points, and makes it even bigger and hotter. The size and heat are speed tuned to your swing to optimize ball speed, launch, spin and accuracy. Speed drivers are not only bigger on the clubface - they're bigger down the middle of the fairway, too.

Largest 460cc Face Area
Maximum face flex across the game's largest, hottest face area generates Hotter 9 Points across the clubface and golf's only Hot Zone for increased ball speed and distance.

Wide-Body Sole Design
An Advanced Sole Design pushes the dual weighting system and the center of gravity back lower and deeper for greater MOI and forgiveness across all Hotter 9 Points.

MRLC Technology
The milled rhombus L-cup laser weld face insert allows for greater consistency and increased performance across the entire face.
Fast-Back Crown Design
Speed's unique crown design slants back, moving the center of gravity even lower and further back in the head to create a higher launch angle and low-spin ball flight for optimal launch and carry.

Fast swing players make up the majority of the avid golf population. The problem is, most of them don’t play drivers optimized for their swings. Like the entire Speed Series, F/Speed Drivers offer the game’s largest, hottest clubface.

The clubface and the entire driver are precisely tuned for faster ball speed players. F/Speed Drivers have slightly closed faces to promote straight to slight draw-biased ball flight with low to mid spin and high launch.

It all adds up to new levels of distance and accuracy.

Features a Cobra/Aldila NV-F/Speed Tuned 55g shaft and a Golf Pride Reminder Design 50D Durometer grip.

You need a driver tuned to your ball speed to maximize both your distance and accuracy. By matching your swing and ball speed to speed tuned club technology, the Speed series gives you longer, straighter drives. Select the F/Speed driver if these statistics fit your game:

  • Current average drive: 220–275 yds
  • Current average swing speed: 87–108 mph
  • Ball speed: 125–155 mph
